India's economic indicators
Swaminomics vs The Economist:
Times of India's Swaminathan S Anklesaria Aiyar disparages The Economist's compilation of risk index, which places India at a very high score of 15.
The Economist's article focusses on not treating emerging economies as homogeneous, and uses their ranking of 15 of the biggest economies to highlight potential economic risk.
However, Aiyar finds this model too crude and discusses each of the indicators (current account deficit, fiscal deficit, rise in bank credit, and inflation) used in the model.
