I’m fascinated by the Crystal Car Wash promoters I usually see at the corner of Old South Head and Blair. They look like bored-out-of-their-gourd Indian students. But there must be a catch (cash?) because there is a never ending supply of them, and they feature all over Sydney.

Some brave the summer sun bareheaded, some sport sombreros, some prop up the closest traffic light, and some text one-handed while waving an oversized white foam hand with the other.

Any thoughts on how they could liven up their (must be?) tedious jobs? Compile clips of bad Sydney drivers for a Youtube montage? Punking drivers waiting for the redlight? I’m tapped out …
