Out of all the amazing Bombay-pool Flickr photos, I felt this one by Shubhangi Athalye deserved a special shout out. It is artistic, without obscuring what the city is, or what its residents are.

This photograph brings so much of Bombay together. Its a coastal city, heaving and teeming right up to the water's edge, highlighted by neon glam, toe-to-toe pre-fight intensity between the tropical flora and the concrete urbanisation, and the middle class living it and loving it as best as they can.
